Wishful Thinking was a collection of six original plays.

  • The Whale Play, by Terese Kattner, is a wacky farce about a crusty sea cap’n and the whale that ruined her life.
  • The Bully of Band Camp, by Philip Heckman, tells the tale of two bullies.
  • Joey Space, by Rob Matsushita, is a TV episode satirizing the space shows of the seventies
  • Bird’s Opening, by Doug Reed, is a love story played out on a chess board
  • A Vice-Presidential Opportunity, by Greg Lawless, is a civil war within the Civil War, featuring the ladies of Janesville.
  • The Mingler, by Debra Neff Nathans and her husband, composer Aaron Nathans, is a musical story of a superhero who saves the party.
